His professional credits include: The Shakespeare Theatre (Washington, DC), People’s Light and Theatre, The Wilma, The Lantern, and Intrepid Theatres (Pennsylvania), Delaware Theatre Company, City Theatre of Wilmington, and First State Children’s Theatre (Delaware), The Berkshire Theatre Festival, Actors Lab Arizona, Court Yard Players Touring Company, Arizona Jewish Theatre, AKA Theatre, Tucson Actors Studio, Candlelight Theatre Company (New York), New Paltz Summer Rep, York Little Theatre, Artist’s Ensemble, and the Arizona, Tucson, South West, Baltimore, Oak Park, Wisconsin, Park City, First Folio, and Utah Shakespeare Festivals, and most recently at the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival. Shakespeares First Folio was the first folio ever published in England devoted exclusively to plays. He lives on a farm in Paw Paw with his lovely fiancé and their horses, dogs, and other farmyard friends. He is currently in his thirteenth year of teaching at Northern Illinois University. Before that, he was at SUNY New Paltz where he taught voice, acting, Shakespeare, dramatic literature, and stage combat. Before coming to NIU, Stanton served as speech and dialect coach for the graduates and undergraduates, as well as teaching speech and acting, at Temple University’s Theatre Department. Stanton is a member of the Independent Fight Director’s Guild and is a certified associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voice Work. Stanton has worked professionally as an actor (stage, film, voice-over, and TV commercials), fight choreographer, stagehand, director, stunt man, voice coach, dialect coach, and education director at theatres throughout the country. Stanton Davis received his MFA in acting from the University of Delaware’s Professional Theatre Training Program, and his BFA from the University of Utah Actor Training Program. The First Folio preserved eighteen of Shakespeare's plays that had never been printed before: All’s Well That Ends Well, Antony and Cleopatra, As You Like It, Comedy of Errors, Coriolanus, Cymbeline, 1 Henry VI, Henry VIII, Julius Caesar, King John, Macbeth, Measure for Measure, The Taming of the Shrew, The Tempest.
