![]() I'll be holding back during this practice match, okay? Pick your cards and give it your all! This is a bit obvious, but reduce the opponent's HP to 0 and you'll win the match. Use as many cards as your TP allows you to and try to win the round. I'm holding a Mini-Boss and 2 Attacker or Effect cards.Īttacker and Effect cards share the same back. But you can tell their type through their back. (Did you think Carmina was done talking? Oh no. You can't store multiple decks, any time you save a deck it'll overwrite your previous one. I won't be saving this one, I'll build a more synergistic one once we're out of the tutorial. We also get the option to save our deck, so we can skip this step next time we play this game. This is a much wider range of choices! We've encountered 16 different enemies so far, and we can include multiples.įor now, let's just go with a healthy variety of Attackers at different costs, and a couple Numbnails and Venus' Buds to round things out. Mothiva and Zasp have abilities that work together, so let's try them.Īnd now we have to pick 12 more cards. I've certainly never used it in the Spy Cards tutorial before!Īgain, we have the choice of everything we've spied so far this time, we need to pick two different ones. For the tutorial, I'm not going to pick things strategically, so let's use the Devourer because it's cool. ![]() We can choose the card of any Boss we have the spy data for, which right now is these three. It just throws us right into deckbuilding! This is just for the tutorial, we'll get to build a new deck when it matters so the stakes are low here. To summarize, your deck must contain 15 cards: 1 Boss, 2 unique Mini-Bosses, and 12 Attacker or Effect cards which may be duplicates. It's intuitive enough once you see it in action.) (What Carmina's neglected to say here is that your maximum TP also increases each turn, until reaching the cap of 10 it's pretty reminiscent of Hearthstone. You can include as many repeated copies of Attacker and Effect cards in your deck as you want.Īt the end of each turn your TP is restored, so go wild with your plays. You can check many more effects in your Discoveries menu. This isn't all the keywords either, but it gives a decent enough overview of how different types of card work. They did have Unity(1) on them back in v1.0.5, but for some reason they were changed. Ironically, Midges don't use the Unity mechanic any more, they're just Attacker cards now. The only real difference between "Attacker" and "Effect" cards is that only Attackers are vulnerable to Numb. Like a swarm of Midges.Ĭards do what they say on them. Unity: Gains ATK for every member of its tribe. If Atk (X): Gain an effect if your total ATK reaches X. If X: If played alongside X card, gain an effect. Numb: One of your opponent's Attacker cards is numbed. (If we didn't have enough cards somehow, Tatel's right behind us and would be happy to sell us the data.)Ģ9 - Team, This One's Stronger! (Miniboss) This sounds interesting! We've definitely got enough spy data for this, so let's talk to her again and see how it works. You'll need at least one Boss Card, two Miniboss Cards, and one Enemy Card.Ĭome talk to me when you're ready. We aren't gonna have to buy some, are we? The first thing you'll need is a proper deck of cards. You expect me to teach a newbie the ropes? ![]() Won't you tell us more? We may surprise you. ![]() ![]() Have you come to waste my time, then? I live and die by the card. When we left off last time, we hadn't yet talked to Carmina from this side of the table. It's no wonder I didn't figure out how his healing worked. It looks like attack heals Scarlet for 100% of the damage dealt, but it's capped at 8 HP. On normal, the Attack Up comes at 50% and he doesn't get a defense boost at all. On hard mode, he gets the Attack Up at 65% and the Defense Up at 40%. Interestingly, it looks like the fraction is actually variable! He recovers 1/2 the damage he deals at first, but that increases to 2/3 once he's at half health. ![]()
